Don’t let the nickname "Poor Man's Teak" detract away from this specie. Can vary in colour quite a bit from a light golden to dark brown. Extensively used in lab and kitchen workbenches along with garden furniture and boat building. Care must be taken when machining because of irregular grain, tear out can be common and also the dust is known to cause irritation to eyes, throat and skin, so PPE (personal protective equipment is a must).
