We are aware of the worldwide growing concern about our planets forests. We understand that timber is an essential natural resource and we do all in our power to ensure that the timber we sell to our customers originates from a controlled source.

We are certified to sell timber through two controlling bodies:

FSC SUPPLIER SGS-COC-0002 By using FSC certified wood, we are supporting better management of the World's Forests.

FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL (FSC) Founded in 1993 in response to growing public concern, the FSC is an international group dedicated to promoting good management of the world's forests. By using a 'chain of custody' system, all certified timber can traced back to the originating source. Eastern Hardwoods Ltd is proud to say that we were the second company in the world to be certified by SGS (UK) Ltd

PEFC – Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Founded in 1999, the PEFC Council is an independent, non-profit making, global organisation that actively promotes sustainable forests through certification. We recommend a visit to their very informative website www.pefc.org.
